Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Engineering Manager located in Alpharetta, Georgia. This role involves a variety of tasks within the realm of network and security engineering, consulting services delivery, client relationship management, and service delivery management.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution of network architecture design, deployment, and maintenance across multiple sites and cloud-based environments.

• Ensure network infrastructure's high availability, scalability, and security.

• Address complex network issues such as latency, packet loss, and routing problems.

• Oversee the configuration of firewall, VPN management, and network segmentation.

• Collaborate on the optimization of performance and security with technologies like Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, and SonicWall.

• Implement automation for network monitoring, configuration management, and incident response.

• Evaluate and deploy new networking technologies to enhance service delivery and efficiency.

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of security solutions to ensure a resilient and scalable security infrastructure.

• Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and frameworks that align with business objectives and compliance requirements.

• Oversee security engineering projects and ensure seamless integration of security controls into IT and network infrastructure.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define security requirements for new technologies, cloud deployments, and network expansions.

• Manage the evaluation, selection, and deployment of security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection, and identity management solutions.

• Work closely with IT and Network Engineering teams to embed security into system design.

• Engage with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and build long-term partnerships.

• Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and proactive problem-solving.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.

• Monitor service-level agreements and promptly address any deviations.

• Continuously improve service processes to enhance customer satisfaction.

• Work with other teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions for projects.

• Identify and recommend changes, upgrades, and new services for clients.

• Allocate resources effectively to meet client demands. Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in IT, Security, and Network Engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.

• Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams, including resource allocation, performance management, and mentoring.

• Extensive expertise in network architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting across diverse environments, with hands-on experience using Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, and SonicWall technologies.

• Strong background in security architecture and engineering, including designing and implementing security frameworks, policies, and controls.

• Experience overseeing security engineering projects, including risk assessments, security automation, and secure infrastructure design.

• Deep understanding of cloud and on-premises security strategies, including Identity & Access Management (IAM), Zero Trust Architecture, and Network Security Segmentation.

• Proficiency in IT service management (ITSM), process optimization, and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency.

• Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale infrastructure projects, balancing technical requirements with business objectives.

• Experience negotiating and managing vendor relationships, including evaluating security and network technology solutions.

• Experience with budget planning, cost control, and financial management of IT and security initiatives.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging executive leadership and clients to align technology strategy with business goals.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize service delivery.
