Job Title: Quality Technician
Job Description
As a Quality Technician, you will perform in-process and final inspections, measure components in accordance with drawings and standards, and conduct visual inspections without building or cutting parts. You will review and maintain records, ensure compliance with IPC620 standards, provide internal auditing and inspection support, and collaboratively resolve quality issues. You will also generate reports, follow up to ensure actions are closed, and enter data into corrective and preventative action systems.
Responsibilities
Perform in-process and final inspections.
Measure components according to drawings and standards.
Conduct visual inspections and measurements without building or cutting parts.
Review and maintain records.
Ensure compliance with IPC620 standards (training provided).
Provide internal auditing and inspection support.
Collaboratively resolve related quality issues.
Generate reports and follow up to ensure actions are closed.
Enter data into corrective and preventative action and non-conforming materials systems.
Assist with developing quality processes.
Ensure tools and equipment are within calibration standards.
Apply knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the quality assurance field.
Plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment.
Provide and share information to achieve desired goals.
Administer training courses as needed.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and feeler gauges.
Experience with ERP systems, specifically Dynamics.
Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and Excel for data entry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with GD&T, IPC620 standards, and an ERP system are preferred, but not required (training will be provided).

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled, very clean facility. The hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. You will be part of a small team consisting of two other technicians and two quality engineers. Currently working 50-55 hours/week.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanahan, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
