Position Description: Independently plan, design, and direct geotechnical engineering projects, tracking scope, schedule, and budget. Assist with the calculation of cost estimates and determining the feasibility of projects or foundation systems based on subsurface conditions including dewatering, excavation of weak soils, rock excavation, and settlement risk. Provide support for the construction materials laboratory quality management system. Prepare and review geotechnical reports, including maps, drawings, and soil boring logs. Assist with the coordination of laboratory services and field exploration program. Engage in fieldwork as necessary, including but not limited to, soil sampling, drilling oversight and core logging, groundwater monitoring, and instrumentation installation and monitoring. Participate in business development, building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with clients and potential clients. Support the NTS safety program through safe work practices, policy adherence, hazard reporting, and commitment to safe project execution. Other duties as assigned or necessary.
