ITD is hiring aSenior Research Analyst located at our Headquarters office in Boise, Idaho. This position will be working for the Division of Engineering Services in our Roadway Data section. The incumbent will work to maintain traffic data collection scheduling, official data collection location information, coordinate for all special requests by district personnel, participate in research projects, and other duties as assigned.

Note: This position travels up to 10% of the time. A driver's record check is required before a final job offer is made.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

  • Maintaining geospatial traffic feature class layers

  • Assisting with data processing and scheduling of portable traffic counts

  • Participating in research projects

  • Assisting with federal data submissions

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Good Knowledge Of:

  • Research methods

  • Principles of statistics

  • Sampling theory and probability theory

    Experience:

  • Writing analytical (research) reports or materials

  • Compiling and analyzing statistical data and drawing conclusions

  • Using statistical software or spreadsheet software to perform statistical analysis

  • Interpreting and communicating (orally and in writing) statistical material into information usable by a target audience

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience writing queries

  • Experience with ESRI or other GIS products

  • Experience with data collection and analysis
