Job Location: Fossil Rock Mine
Overall Job Purpose: Responsible for the safe and efficient production of coal by maximizing the effective utilization of the resources provided.
Responsibilities Include:
Supervise and provide direction to hourly employees in continuous miner or longwall production and/or utility work.
Plan, organize, schedule and coordinate with Shift Coordinator all mining and/or utility projects.
Supervise all aspects of safe and efficient production of coal and/or utility work.
Implement and maintain compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Task training of personnel as required.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of underground coal mining experience
- Mining engineering degree will substitute for mining experience
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Computer skills including Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
- Excellent safety and attendance record
- Utah Mine Foreman Certification
