Primary Function

The Electronics Tech is responsible for testing and validation of all Electrical Assemblies, Sub-Assemblies, Wires Harnesses, Cable Assemblies, Ground Based Vehicle Modules, Full Vehicle Systems provided by manufacturing and or the project / Customer. He or she is responsible for ensure that these assemblies meet the specifications called out on Drawings, Schematics, Statement of Work with respect to Opens, Shorts, Leakage Current, Grounding and Bonding and similar tests.

Essential Duties

Runs and troubleshoots complex assemblies use the DITMCO test platform of ATE.

Help the supervisor ensure that all testing specification and requirements provided by the government are met including IPC WHMA 620 Class 3 for Military Equipment for Test Voltage and Leakage Current Tests.

Ability to follow defined development processes, writing specification and technical reports.

Knowledge of DITMCO Models 2115, 2635 and 2650 is required.

Ability to develop NET list for various Unit Under Test (UUT) applications.

Knowledge of various Instrument busses such as CAN bus, IEEE 488, is not required but helpful.

Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and direct Assemblers to build Test Adapters.

Provide direction to production on non-conformance issues.

Ensure safety regulations are followed.

Read and Record Test Data into company data bases.

Ability to troubleshoot complex military assemblies.

Ensure all policies and procedures are in compliant to ISO9001, AS9100 and AS9110.

Help manage product throughput to ensure schedules are met.

Other duties assigned from time to time.

Potential Travel to Various US Army installations CONUS and or OCONUS (10% to 20% of time).

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks. However, personnel with consistent and demonstrated skills in Leadership, proactively getting involved in solving problems, communicating effectively within the Department and outside the Department will help the person with growth within the organization.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Ability to enter data accurately into databases. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
