Job Duties/Scope Of Work Hanford Mission Integration Solutions (HMIS) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Controls Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. We are open to candidates at various levels of experience, from entry-level to senior-level professionals. Job Summary: The successful candidate will support project management teams by providing accurate and timely project controls services, including planning, scheduling, cost control, and reporting. The level of responsibility will be based on the candidate's experience. Key Responsibilities: •Support multiple HMIS projects by assisting Control Account Managers (CAMs) and managers in establishing and defining project scope and work plans. •Collaborate with CAMs to forecast and analyze actual costs, validating labor, invoicing, and accruals. •Develop and maintain P6 schedules in line with scheduling guidance and industry best practices. •Assist in preparing variance explanations and corrective action plans with CAMs. •Prepare and manage change control documentation, including Baseline Change Requests (BCR) and baseline creation. •Support management in determining staffing plans and resource needs. •Assist in assessing impacts on cost and schedules due to project risk registers. •Conduct internal and external reporting, communication, and presentations with CAMs, Managers, Directors, Vice Presidents, and the Department of Energy. •Provide training and mentoring to Schedulers and Analysts as needed. •Provide project controls support to other Schedulers and Analysts as needed. Basic Qualifications •Strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent presentation skills. •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly within Excel. •Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts and techniques. •Ability to work in a team environment and/or work independently, when required. •Ability to interact professionally daily with management, One Hanford Contractors, team members, DOE, and other stakeholders. Entry Level: •Requires a BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Project Management, or a related field, and a minimum of 0-2 years of related experience -- or - an equivalent combination of education and related experience. Intermediate Level: •Requires a BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Project Management, or a related field, and a minimum of 3-7 years of related experience -- or - an equivalent combination of education and related experience. Senior Level: •Requires a BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Project Management, or a related field, and a minimum of 8+ years of related experience -- or - an equivalent combination of education and related experience. Desired Qualifications •Experience with project planning, cost estimating, baseline integration and management, change control, and monthly reporting utilizing EIA-748 EVMS standards. •Experience and/or proficiency with Primavera (P6). •Familiarity or experience with software programs: HANDI, Crystal, Asset Suite, project management reporting systems, accrual processes, and COBRA; or similar programs. •Knowledge of Construction Projects, and experience supporting Capital Line Item projects including adherence to DOE Order 413.3B..
