Hiring 3 SMT Operators in Milpitas, paying up to $27/hr!
Job Description
We are seeking skilled SMT Operators for two positions on the swing shift (3pm-11:30pm with potential overtime as business needs). Candidates should have over 2 years of experience in operating SMT equipment and performing maintenance tasks. The role involves working with SMT machines for solder printing, SPI, chip shooter, and reflow processes, among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Operate SMT equipment and perform daily maintenance.
Change over SMT processes and operate machines for solder printing, SPI, chip shooter, and reflow.
Measure and record solder paste height in SPC.
Check solder printing quality after paste printing.
Set up feeders and verify or document component replacements.
Hand load special SMT components before reflow, if required.
Control output by SMT task time and follow all required procedures.
Report any quality issues to the team lead and supervisor immediately.
Understand MPI and BOM, and have basic knowledge of electronics components and their values.
Follow company policies on 6S and maintain discipline in the working area.
Examine circuit boards for defects such as shorts, excess or missing solder, scratches, cracks, and improper component placement.
Conduct Lean manufacturing and efficiency improvement projects.
Maintain quality standards by approving materials at inspection for all products.
Perform inspections for assemblies and verify conformance to specified dimensions.
Record defects and use essential tools and equipment.
Read and interpret assembly drawings, product-specific documentation, and work instructions.
Essential Skills
Experience with SMT equipment operation and maintenance.
Knowledge of solder printing, SPI, chip shooter, and reflow processes.
Ability to measure and record solder paste height.
Understanding of MPI and BOM.
Basic knowledge of electronics components and their values.
Experience in examining circuit boards for defects.
Proficiency in using essential tools and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
