Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Plant Controller in Fremont, California. As a Plant Controller, you will oversee various financial operations within our organization, ensuring accuracy in all accounting processes. You will work closely with plant operations leadership to support decision-making and strategic business planning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions, including inventory, accounts payable (A/P), and accounts receivable (A/R).

• Monitor aged A/R accounts and devise strategies to improve collections.

• Supervise staff handling A/P, A/R, collections, and cash application, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.

• Manage accounting processes related to inventory, including physical inventory counts, adjustments, and valuation.

• Utilize accounting software systems to ensure efficient processing of financial transactions and inventory tracking.

• Present timely and accurate financial reports to the leadership team, providing actionable insights to support business strategies.

• Oversee invoicing tasks performed by the customer service team, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Work closely with the General Manager as a strategic partner, providing financial expertise and recommendations.

• Conduct regular reviews of inventory-related financial data and operational costs to support business strategies.

• Manage relationships with vendors effectively, maintaining supplier relationships while overseeing accounts payable. Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems.

• Extensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Demonstrated experience in Monthly Financial Reporting.

• Ability to Prepare Financial Reports effectively.

• Experience in conducting Annual Physical Inventory.

• Skilled in Inventory Accounting.

• Ability to perform Ad Hoc Financial Analysis.
