Job Title: Assembly
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled assembly technician with experience in the military or aerospace industry, specifically in complex metallic or composite assemblies. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in using hand and power tools. This role requires the ability to follow work instructions, be accountable for work performed, and perform various assembly tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
Follow work instructions and be accountable for work performed.
Use good oral and written communication skills.
Utilize good eye-hand coordination.
Operate basic inspection gauges.
Use common hand and power tools.
Understand and use simple drawings & sketches.
Fit check and assemble detail parts.
Identify and properly install fasteners and sealants.
Perform any other incidental duties as needed.
Essential Skills
Military or aerospace industry experience with complex metallic or composite assemblies.
Ability to pay attention to minute details of a project or task.
Good math skills to understand complex instructions.
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Ability to work in an unfatigued state.
Ability to quickly store and recall instructions in short-term memory.
Ability to concentrate.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma/GED required.
Experience in honing, detail machining, blueprint reading, and aircraft assembly methods is helpful.
At least 1 year of aircraft assembly experience (drilling, bucking, and shooting rivets).
Experience with countersinking rivets, squeezing rivets, installing bushings, and installing bearings.
Experience in aviation assembly.

Work Environment
The work environment is generally favorable, with adequate lighting and temperature. Work is primarily performed within the prep area of the processing building. This role may require pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50lbs, with extended periods of sitting and standing. You will be working in a machine shop environment along with sub-assembly tasks.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
