General Functions:

This is a position that will require mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairs and preventive maintenance. Candidate must have PC skills (troubleshooting and programming).

Responsibilities:

Providing electrical, electronics, communications and instrumentation support to maintain wells, equipment and facilities consistent with the Asset's business direction and in a manner that is safe, efficient and environmentally sound.

Installing, troubleshooting and maintaining electrical, process controls and new equipment as projects dictate.

Training and mentoring systems, engineering and operations staff.

Supervising contract labor in the installation, maintenance, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment.

Troubleshoots, tests, replace/repair electrical and electronic production equipment.

Some design and building of electrical and electronic devices may be required.

Recommends changes and improvements to make operations safer, more efficient and improve the quality.

Testing and troubleshooting of machines.

Installation of components or parts.

Internal or external preparation.

Assembly of machines

Provides technical support to other groups and co-workers.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

At least 6 months of related experience and/or training.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and parts list.

Ability to find solutions to difficult technical problems.

At least 1 year of related experience and/or training.

Physical Demands:

Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Vision abilities required such as: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, handle, and reach with hands and arms.
