Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of tasks including housekeeping, lubrication, lifting, and operating equipment. The successful candidate will have strong skills in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with a preference for experience in preventative maintenance and parts ordering systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general housekeeping and lubrication tasks.

  • Operate and maintain equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues up to 480v.

  • Troubleshoot mixers, palletizers, fillers, packaging machines, and other equipment.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and order necessary parts.

  • Ensure machinery operates efficiently through regular maintenance and repairs.

  • Work in confined spaces and at heights as necessary.

Essential Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods of time

  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting, mechanical maintenance, hydraulics, and pneumatics

  • Experience with preventive maintenance and parts ordering systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in food manufacturing is a plus

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and control

  • Experience with conveyors, motors, and installation

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday from 8:00am - 4:30pm and Tuesday to Friday from 10:00am - 6:30pm. The job involves working in a manufacturing environment that requires physical activity such as lifting, climbing, bending, and standing for long periods. You may need to work in confined spaces and at heights. The role may involve exposure to machinery and equipment typical of an industrial setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
