Job Title: BIM + VDC Manager
Job Description
In the role of the BIM + VDC, you will provide direction for the Digital Delivery Coordinators, Specialists, & designers. Manage the digital model environment and deliverables at the project level, and possess an advanced understanding of how all disciplines interact and construction documents are produced. You will work directly with the Project Manager to assist the Coordinators and Specialists to generate and maintain the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project initiation procedure, establishing the server infrastructure, discipline models, and digital deliverables outlined in the project scope. You will execute digital deliverables and support production teams throughout the complete lifecycle of projects, provide technical support, and communicate the deliverable schedule to the project team. Overall you will be managing BIM+VDC efforts for this office. To maintain quality, you will monitor the model health and coordination processes of the project from the planning phase through the issue of construction documents. You will execute these tasks autonomously and also mentor and provide guidance to other team members.
Responsibilities
Provide direction for the Digital Delivery Coordinators and Specialists
Manage the digital model environment and deliverables at the project level
Assist the Project Manager to generate and maintain the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project initiation procedure
Establish the server infrastructure, discipline models, and digital deliverables outlined in the project scope
Execute digital deliverables and support production teams throughout the complete lifecycle of projects
Provide technical support and communicate the deliverable schedule to the project team
Monitor the model health and coordination processes of the project from planning phase through issue of construction documents
Mentor and provide guidance to other team members
Oversee and contribute to the development and maintenance of the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP)
Monitor and oversee the establishment of the document management system
Help maintain the server infrastructure for multi-discipline projects
Ensure the team has the appropriate software, versions, access, and training needed to execute the project requirements
Generate and maintain model setup including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, sheets, and general models
Monitor and maintain company standards and model health
Host Digital Delivery coordination meetings with the Digital Design team
Communicate, coordinate, and compile all project digital deliverables and exchange process at predetermined milestones
Project archiving at submittals and closeout
Engage in close and effective communication and presentations with management, production staff, and clients
Mentor staff to help develop their skillsets
Provide guidance for Project Managers to support project needs
Engage with other Digital Delivery Leads to provide support and guidance

5 years digital design (BIM element authoring) experience
5 years digital delivery (model management) experience
Comprehensive understanding of all discipline relations and operations of building systems
Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure
Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools
Advanced skillset of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
Familiar with industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications
Familiar with basic automation and programming applications for efficiencies
Familiar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applications
Familiar with content creation and management concepts
Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experience

Work Environment
The individual will work in the office 4-5 days a week. This role offers a great opportunity to work with one of the premiere consulting firms in the local market and region, and the opportunity to work on some of the most sought after projects within the southeast. This individual can sit in Raleigh, Charlotte, or Atlanta.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00/hr.
