Job Summary The Quality Control Technician must be able to perform and maintain front line quality inspections to control the level of product quality delivered to our customers.

Job Responsibilities * Read drawings to determine specifications and tolerances for a variety of machined metal components * Able to utilize a wide variety of inspection tools, particularly the use of micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc. to inspect product * Define problems and report all issues with product to management for analysis and disposition * Ensure that containment activities take place when discrepancies and non-conforming product is identified * Perform all daily measurements and checks throughout the plant and maintain accurate documentation * Identify opportunities to improve product and present to management * Verify accuracy of inspection sheet data supplied from production group * Ensure quality control reference material for active production is available for operators * Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements * High School diploma or GED, preferred * Previous work in Quality Control/Quality Assurance, preferred * Possess the ability to read and understand product drawings * Must understand dimensional tolerance in both Metric and English * Working knowledge and ability to use measuring instruments and test equipment * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs * Lifting up to 40 lbs. * Intermittent bending, lifting, stooping, reaching, walking and squatting * Standing for long periods of time
