Duties: Conduct research and lead research collaborations that yield new insights, theories, and analyses. Evaluate data, algorithms, and prototypes that advance state-of-the-art technology. Master one or more sub-areas of research and identify a clear research agenda. Publish research findings. Establish collaborative relationships with relevant product groups and businesses. Education and experience: Masters in Computer Science; Language Technologies; or related tech or quantitative field and 12 months of experience in  job offered or in a related occupation. Specific Skills: Requires 12 months of experience in each of the following: Java, Go AWS Services, Lex, Connect, CloudFront, DynamoDB.

The offered base pay range for this specific position (job code ODP10024292418512), based in Redmond, WA, is $142,064.00 - $172,064.00.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
