About Electrical and Computer Engineering Department The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department is an established department within the College of Engineering at Drexel University, recognized for educating outstanding engineers, for world-class research, and service to the profession. Drexel University is located in the heart of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania--a vibrant and diverse city with easy access to other major northeast metropolitan cities. Job Summary The ECE Department is seeking applications for an adjunct instructor position to teach classes in renewable power and energy systems. Candidates must have a Ph.D. or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, with outstanding academic and/or industrial credentials. The lectures are taught in a face-to-face setting, and so the successful candidate must be available to teach on campus. Classes are held during the day. Essential Functions Knowledge of current major electric power sources and the pressures that are forcing a transition to renewable sources. Expert knowledge in wind and solar energy and their integration into the overall power grid. Required Qualifications Candidates must have a Ph.D. or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Power Systems and Engineering.
