Compliance and Safety Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Compliance and Safety Manager to design, implement, and oversee company-wide compliance programs related to safety, quality, and training. The ideal candidate will lead internal audits and investigations, ensure compliance with various systems, and deliver effective training programs. This role requires maintaining ISO 9001 standards, improving quality programs, and overseeing safety initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement company-wide compliance programs (safety, quality, training).

  • Support and lead internal audits and investigations.

  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and training systems.

  • Design and deliver training programs for employees.

  • Maintain ISO 9001 standards and improve quality programs.

  • Oversee safety programs and conduct regular safety audits.

  • Investigate accidents and report to SAIF and OSHA.

  • Coordinate Safety Committee efforts.

  • Handle customer compliance documentation and use online request programs.

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for defects.

  • Maintain GMP food safety program to AIB standards.

  • Train employees on food safety and compliance programs.

  • Monitor and schedule training sessions, recording activities in the database.

  • Conduct forklift certification training.

  • Ensure pre-hire requirements and new hire training are completed.

Essential Skills:

  • Compliance management in manufacturing/production (2+ years).

  • Proven success in compliance initiatives.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.

  • Relevant coursework/training or work experience in compliance.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.

  • Understanding of GMP food safety requirements (e.g., AIB standards).

  • Experience with food safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Maintaining training procedures and guidelines.

  • Ability to create and present training materials for groups of varying sizes (5 to 90 people).

  • Strong multitasking skills.

  • Preferred: Internal audit certification/experience.

  • Bonus: Forklift trainer certification (required post-employment if not already certified).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $75000.00/yr.
