Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician with over 1 year of experience in a manufacturing facility. This role ensures products meet quality standards by performing tests and working closely with the Operations team. This position is crucial for maintaining product integrity, food safety, and compliance. The shift is mid-day to overlap with the 1st and 2nd shifts, running from 10AM-6:30PM, with occasional coverage for the 1st shift. Training will commence on the 1st shift with a 5AM start time.

Responsibilities

• Conduct checks on weight, temperature, packaging, and overall product quality.

• Identify and hold substandard products.

• Perform chemical and sensory tests.

• Analyze raw materials and report issues.

• Conduct data entry and enter results into the data system quickly and efficiently.

• Calibrate lab equipment as scheduled.

• Follow and adhere to all GMP regulations.

Essential Skills

• Experience in quality assurance or at least one year in food production.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Basic math and computer proficiency.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Attention to detail in following procedures and maintaining quality standards.

• Reliable work ethic with good attendance and positive company standing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in line checks, quality control, and QA on raw materials as well as finished products.

• Knowledge of HACCP, batch records, and food manufacturing.

Work Environment

The work environment is a busy, loud, and fast-paced production floor. This position involves executing temperature testing and recording, laboratory work, data entry, and the use of basic computer skills. The ideal candidate must be proficient in navigating the production floor, which includes active conveyor belts, and must be capable of going up and down stairs with ease. Strict adherence to GMP compliance standards is required, including no jewelry, nails, and lashes. Non-slip footwear is mandatory.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of AMERICAN CANYON, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.76 - $24.76/hr.
