Together, we pursue a shared mission to create a more sustainable future.Job Description Job Summary The Water Technologies & Solutions Analytical Instruments product line business has a Electronics Manufacturing Technician opportunity open. The person in this role will be responsible for performing inspections on a sample of incoming production parts, First Article Inspections for new or modified parts as well as test and program PCBA boards within the Board Test Department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in quality assurance, incoming inspection, electronics, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.
Key Characteristics Attention to detail: Ability to spot defects, inconsistencies, or quality issues in components and circuit boards. Technical knowledge: Understanding of electronics, circuit boards, and basic programming concepts. Analytical skills: Capacity to interpret test results and troubleshoot issues. Organizational skills: Ability to manage incoming shipments, maintain accurate records, and follow established procedures. Dexterity: Skilled in handling delicate electronic components and operating testing equipment. Problem-solving abilities: Capable of identifying and resolving issues that arise during inspection or testing.
Duties & Responsibilities Incoming Parts Inspection: Perform sample inspections on incoming production parts; Verify that parts meet specified quality standards and specifications; Use precision measuring tools and equipment as needed; Document inspection results and maintain accurate records. First Article Inspection (FAI): Conduct thorough inspections on new or modified parts; Verify that all dimensions and specifications match engineering drawings; Document all findings in detail, including measurements and observations; Communicate results to relevant departments. PCBA Testing and Programming: Test Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) using appropriate equipment and procedures; Program PCBAs as required, ensuring correct firmware and software installation; Troubleshoot and identify any issues or defects in PCBAs; Perform functional tests to ensure PCBAs meet performance requirements. Quality Control: Identify and report any defects, discrepancies, or quality issues; Collaborate with other departments to resolve quality concerns; Suggest improvements to inspection and testing processes; Maintain a clean and organized work area.
