Job Title: Production Scheduler
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to create and maintain schedules for production, service, and engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will offer suggestions for parallel path efforts to increase capacity, attend job release meetings to understand the scope of work, and provide recommendations on scheduling and lead times. Additionally, the role involves reviewing service orders for completion, coordinating scheduling across departments, and supporting re-prioritization requests by working with appropriate departments to ensure urgent customer needs are communicated effectively. This position requires an understanding of departmental capacity to ensure efficient utilization of resources and the ability to make informed decisions independently.
Responsibilities
Schedule usage of production materials to ensure optimal production levels
Evaluate suppliers or quality, timeliness and match according to goals
Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage
Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory
Forecast market challenges based on competitor analysis and industry trends
Address issues regarding quality and production
Produce reports based on findings and performance of production
Manage deadlines based on project expectations

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's degree or certificate in a related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Three to five years of related experience.
Basic to intermediate computer skills with Excel-based scheduling tools.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (experience with Microsoft Navision preferred).
Experience in implementing ERP systems is a plus.
Proficiency in scheduling engineered-to-order products.
Familiarity with bills of materials (BOM) and engineering drawings.
Proficient in MS Office.
Familiarity with shipping terms and practices.
Work Environment
The work environment is a small company with a close-knit culture where collaboration and communication are highly valued. The role involves using various technologies and equipment, including ERP systems and Excel-based scheduling tools, to ensure efficient operations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
