Job Title: Research Lab Technician

Job Description

The Research Laboratory Technician will provide support to process engineers and research scientists on a daily basis. The position will assist in daily lab operation activities and research & development projects to meet the development requirements within corporate timelines.

Responsibilities

• Preparing reagents and/or media

• Loading/unloading samples from small scale machinery and equipment

• Loading/unloading and operating autoclave

• Cleaning lab glassware

• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment

• Inventory and stocking of lab supplies

• Performing other duties as assigned

Essential Skills

• Lab testing

• Record keeping

• Safety procedures

• Preparation and analysis

• Supply management

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field of study

• 0 to 2 years of experience in a lab environment

• Good written and verbal communication

• Understanding of lab record keeping and organizational skills

• Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, and adhere to standard operating procedures

• Commitment to safety and quality

• Works well in a team environment

• Able to work with spreadsheets and handheld electronic batch record software

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
