How will you make an impact in this role?
This position will play a critical role within the Line of Business Compliance (LOBCO) team supporting Global Brand Advertising & Brand Management (GABM). The position will help ensure the business is building, enhancing, and maintaining an effective framework for compliance with applicable internal policies, laws, and regulations in US and International markets. This position will provide second line compliance risk management oversight across Global Brand Management & Experiences and Global Brand Content and Media initiatives.
Strong focus will be dedicated to second line compliance oversight of GABM business initiatives like assessing new or modified products offerings, marketing campaigns, events (e.g. sponsorships events, market research and other efforts with specific focus on assessing various risk areas such as Consumer Protections & Fairness and Third-Party risk and working with risk colleagues such as Privacy and Conduct Risk. Review and approval of GABM led marketing collateral assets across consumer & and commercial products. This position will also provide risk management advisory services to promote safe and scalable innovation while monitoring the overall effectiveness of their compliance program via Compliance Risk Assessment, Issue Management Program, Complaint monitoring, and other areas.
Review of marketing and sponsorship campaign strategies and advertising materials to effectively mitigate compliance risks and provide regulatory guidance on applicability of consumer credit laws including but not limited to Regulation Z, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and UDAAP as well as collaborating with Market Compliance Officers on the applicable areas of law varying by local international markets.
Support an effective Compliance program including Compliance Risk Assessment (CRA), Regulatory Change Management (RCM), and contribute to the Business Unit Compliance Assessments (BUCA), Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and Regulatory Business Self Testing (RBST).
Drive implementation of policy and regulatory requirements across various areas of law like UDAAP, general credit card practices, general banking, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations as well as International as applicable.
Provide compliance oversight and advisory support to new initiatives through the New Product Approval (NPA) and Forum for Initiative Governance (FIG) review process and integration of effective controls, testing and ongoing monitoring into new and existing processes.
Effectively manage any Issues and/or Operating Risk Events to ensure Business timely closure of gaps and customer remediation where required.
Oversee and maintain a robust control environment to monitor third-party and conduct risk.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business and internal stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of U.S consumer credit, consumer protection and banking regulations governing credit card activities and their impact on Bank’s products, operations, and services.
Ability to research, assess, and determine regulatory impact to business initiatives and influence decisions accordingly.
Strong leadership skills and proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Ability to effectively communicate compliance risks and requirements to achieve desired results.
Strong people skills and experience working in a matrixed and agile environment and on cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks in a time sensitive environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Prior credit card/banking industry, compliance, audit, legal or risk experience.
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in compliance (e.g., CRMC) desired, but not required.

Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually bonus benefits
