Description

We are seeking a Regional Controller for our operations in the construction/contractor/materials industry. As a Regional Controller, you will be playing a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of our operations, including overseeing multiple plants, handling job costing, fixed asset and inventory management, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial operations including job costing and work-in-progress (WIP)

• Manage fixed assets and inventory to ensure accurate record-keeping

• Ensure adherence to GAAP, SOX regulations and internal controls within the organization

• Prepare financial statements and conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Handle tax and regulatory compliance to avoid any legal issues

• Oversee operations of multiple plants to ensure smooth functioning

• Utilize ERP systems, specifically SAP, for efficient management of operations

• Conduct internal audits and risk management to identify potential issues

• Manage month-end close procedures to ensure timely financial reporting

• Contribute to the development of financial strategies and plans for the business.

Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the construction or contractor industry.

• Proven expertise in Auditing.

• Demonstrable experience in Job Cost and WIP (Work In Progress) management.

• Proficiency in Fixed Asset Accounting.

• Comprehensive understanding of GAAP Accounting principles.

• Experience in SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance and implementation.

• Ability to design and maintain robust Internal Controls.

• Experience in Plant Management.

• Proficiency in using SAP or similar ERP systems.

• Strong skills in Budgeting and Forecasting.

• Ability to conduct detailed Variance Analysis.

• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation.

• Proven track record in managing Month End Close processes.
