Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a VP/Director of Finance in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. This role is within the higher education industry and involves managing a variety of financial and administrative functions. The workplace is an engaging environment with a focus on collaboration and shared governance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing and management of funds accounting, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Drive strategies to enhance the financial strength of the institution through data analysis, innovative ideas, and effective partnerships.

• Manage the budgeting process, including the development and monitoring of an annual budget.

• Oversee the management of endowment funds in collaboration with the Investment Committee of the Board and University Advancement.

• Direct the operations of human resources, ensuring efficient and effective practices.

• Lead efforts to improve institutional effectiveness by employing good business practices such as process improvement and continuous quality improvement.

• Collaborate with external vendors including auditors and endowment managers to ensure timely, accurate, and independent reports related to financial conditions.

• Oversee the operations of physical plant facilities, including planning, design, construction, renovation, and repair.

• Handle the responsibility for technology services and auxiliary services.

• Regularly liaise with the President, the Board of Trustees, the Cabinet, and other appropriate university leadership to report and/or advise on all financial matters. Requirements • Proven experience in Annual Budget preparation and management

• Proficiency in Auditing financial documents and procedures

• Extensive knowledge in Budget Processes and financial planning

• Familiarity with Ellucian Banner software for efficient financial data management

• Experience in Adult Education financial management is preferred

• Expertise in Fund Administration, specifically in managing and overseeing financial assets

• Experience in managing Endowment Funds, including investment strategies and distribution policies

• Ability to enhance Operational Efficiency in financial departments or organizations

• Strong capabilities in Financial Reporting, including preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements
