Oferta de trabajo: SPC Technician (1st Processing)

GENERAL:

SPC (Statistical Process Control) tech is responsible for monitoring equipment and other turkey processing techniques to continuously maintain control of key parameters throughout the production process. The primary focus is early detection of shifts in settings, levels, readings in operations that have a direct impact on the quality of the product. Ensuring consistent quality is key to the site’s successfully meeting the customers’ expectations. This role serves as a part of early notification with decision-rights to stop operations during extreme data changes/shifts.

SPECIFIC DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure all products are being produced in a safe manner and in compliance with Customer requirements

• Provide input and help monitor and maintain operating parameters & standards

• Work closely with process technicians, operators, and maintenance to oversee day to day processing techniques, settings,

• levels, and operating systems.

• Routinely check and document operating parameters; lift concerns on data trends

• Use data & observations to provide input to reduce /eliminate recurring operations issues

• Audit work practices, environment, and procedures for food safety & quality

• Maintain open lines of communication with plant leadership and USDA personnel

• Support and deliver operations training as needed

• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned

Requirements

Education:

• Associates degree in technical field or related technical experience

Experience:

• Min. of 2 years work experience in quality for food processing or related field

• Lead operator experience (preferred / not required)

SKILLS/ ABILITIES / ATTRIBUTES:

• Leadership qualities w/ good decision making; self-starter

• Quick learner w/ working knowledge of food safety and quality

• Detailed-oriented; able to work in fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and solid interpersonal skills across all levels; good presentation skills;

• Basic math skills & computer proficiency – Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, WORD, Outlook

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ENVIRONMENT:

• Lift / move up to 40 lbs.; occasionally 50 lbs.

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, stoop up to 12 hrs./shift performing repetitive motion

• Work safely in hot, cold, wet environment w/ varying noise levels, & temperatures (e.g., 35-40 / 100 degrees)

• Exercise strong hand-eye coordination in handling whole, internal /external parts of birds

• Some work areas w/ distinct odor related to processing of turkeys
