Peak Capital Management, Inc. located in Provo, UT seeks a Vice President of Investor Relations.
Duties: Plan, manage, and review all distributions for the Investor Relations team using Peak's real estate ERP/accounting system, including monthly, quarterly, and capital events. Coordinate with internal cross- functional teams and the external Fund Administrator for all joint venture and fund distributions and reporting requirements, including those for international investors. This includes the application of any domestic and international accounting reporting and finance requirements for investors. Oversee maintenance of the firm's CRM, investor portal, and other related databases. Coordinate the reporting process on a quarterly and annual basis for funds, separately managed accounts (SMA's), and joint venture investments (JV's). Take the lead on fund reporting, including the drafting of partner letters, SMA reporting packets, Multifamily Market Update, and Advisory Board packs. Lead the Investor Relations team -- including training, development, and performance management. Work directly with the VP of Investor Relations and Executive team on reporting and IR strategy. Manage investor communications, including reviewing, and overseeing all emails through the IR inbox, and handling investor phone calls when applicable. Develop and review all marketing and offering materials, including company website, offering/investment, and investor pitch decks. Identify any required outside agencies and manage contracts and deliverables. Plan and participate in meetings with institutional and high-net-worth investors, including advisory board meetings. Develop an active network of investors both nationally and internationally for capital raising purposes. Lead out on process improvement, including cross-functional projects with other operating and finance-focused functions. Leverage software, technology, and other business applications to improve efficiency and accuracy across processes and information outputs.
Requirements: Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field. Foreign equivalent degree accepted. Four years' experience in senior management in a finance-focused position, including two years in the real estate industry (construction, investment/private equity, or development sectors). Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field (foreign equivalent degree accepted), and four years of experience in senior management in a finance-focused position, including two years in the real estate industry (construction, investment/private equity, or development sectors). Experience to also include:
- Report writing targeted for executive teams, specifically: Preparation of investment/pitch decks, presentation of financial reports, and other reports to assist in decision-making by executive teams.
- Capital raising or directly assisting in the capital raising process.
- Use of accounting/ERP systems within real estate.
- Developing processes and controls specifically within finance-focused functions utilizing technology to increase efficiency.
- Application of domestic and international accounting reporting and finance.
- Demonstrated cross-functional communication skills, collaborating on cross-functional project teams with demonstrated leadership for finance within these projects and or teams.
