Job Description

As an assembler, you will be responsible for assembling Fixed Steel Lamella Bellows and Coated Fabric Bellows/Way Covers. You will work with industrial coated fabric bellows that offer maximum compression and flexibility, suitable for a variety of environments. These bellows are designed for dust protection, laser machines, and guideways with minimal chip loads. The fixed steel lamella bellow type combines the benefits of telescopic steel covers and conventional bellows, utilizing a heat-sealed or stitched design with guide frames secured to the cover material. The stainless steel lamellas protect against red-hot and sharp-edged swarf and mechanical strain.

Responsibilities

• Assemble Fixed Steel Lamella Bellows and Coated Fabric Bellows/Way Covers.

• Cut material using knives, following basic computer drawings.

• Ensure each fold of the lamella bellows has its own guide frame secured to the cover material.

• Utilize hand and power tools for assembly tasks.

• Read and interpret blueprints and basic computer drawings.

Essential Skills

• Experience with hand and power tools.

• Previous manufacturing experience.

• Assembler experience, with a hands-on approach.

• Basic math skills.

• Entry-level blueprint reading and interpretation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with small assembly tasks.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Machesney Park, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
