Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Work in partnership with the Compliance Leader to develop talent and manage Independent Third-Party compliance risks in addition to supporting the overall business compliance program.
Provide Independent Third Party and Interactions with HCPs/HCIs/GIs/GIs regulatory and compliance advice, including guiding the businesses/operational teams and less experienced colleagues within the region.
Liaise with functional teams (e.g., Legal, IT, Sourcing, Sales) to establish ITP compliance priorities and identify/address compliance gaps.
Use deep technical expertise and analytical thinking to interpret and propose policy and procedure improvements.
Execute action plans that ensure operations are complying with applicable regulations and GE HealthCare policies governing Independent Third Parties and Improper Payment Prevention.
Responsible for supporting rigorous processes in GE HealthCare businesses in the area of Independent Third Party and Improper Payment Prevention compliance for the region: provide SFDC & AST usage guidance to commercial teams, responsible for using the Risk Level Determination (RLD) tools to assess risk and make decisions on the ITP approval process, analyze due diligence reports, identify and resolve red flags, trigger escalations when needed, ensure that all requirements are met under the ITP Policy and SOP, and support the review and approval process for ITP on-boarding, renewal and off-boarding.
Participate in review of all aspects of various compliance workflows around activities including contract sales forces, distributors, HCP consulting, educational grand and donations, product consignment/demos/loaners, customer events, and more.
Identify and escalate compliance-related procedural issues and areas of improvement. Represent USCAN Compliance on process improvement initiatives or other projects which impact policies, processes, and procedures relevant to the USCAN compliance team and stakeholders.
Lead training activities for various compliance processes and initiatives largely focused on ITPs and HCP interactions.
Review proposed HCP engagement activity and provide feedback/counsel to various business stakeholders who have varying level of experience and knowledge around the subject.
Provide summary reports, analysis, and suggested course of action on high-risk potential external relationships and participate in business-level review processes as required
Deliver targeted training to business leaders, operational teams, and Independent Third Parties
Prepare metrics on Independent Third-Party due diligence, training, and contracting compliance. Report such metrics to Compliance and business leadership team through Compliance Review Board
Review and approve high risk transactions such as ITP Purchase Orders
Actively participate in other core compliance responsibilities such as Compliance Review Boards, Performances Review Boards, investigations, and employee training.
Individual contributor, with proven interpersonal skills, who can work well on a team and communicate with direct colleagues and business partners and work to a workable solution.
Attentive to details while conducting various types of compliance reviews around contracting, Fair Market Value, scope of services, and overall adherence to internal company policies and external laws, codes or trade associations.
Coordinate with global compliance leaders and other compliance leads to roll-out and implement compliance priorities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 5 years OR Master's OR JD with 2 years experience in Compliance and/or internal audit
Competent influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others in straightforward situations
Demonstrated analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy and propose procedural improvement ideas
Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Characteristics
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
Previous exposure to medical and pharmaceutical industry regulations.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $104,800.00-$157,200.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
