*Our client is looking for an Assembler Technician. This is a contract to hire role. *
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the assembly and disassembly of tools as directed by the supervisor. Ensure tools are configured properly for the customer's process by following basic MATH data drawings.
NATURE OF ASSIGNMENTS / DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble tools according to customer specifications to ensure proper operation as quoted.
- Read and follow detailed instructions, including MATH data and assembly drawings.
- Inspect tools and secondary parts visually for defects.
- Operate shop tools, including but not limited to basic shop machines and hand tools.
- Maintain shop tools by completing preventive maintenance as per supervisor's instructions and manufacturer recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Manager/Supervisor to meet delivery dates based on complexity and customer timelines.
- Log time in/operation time and time out for each job accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe work cell and follow 5S practices.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment as required (e.g., eye protection, hearing protection).
- Perform various tasks within the department to meet company goals.
- Assist other departments to meet customer goals and deadlines.
- Work overtime as directed by the Manager/Supervisor.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC.:
- NC Shop experience
- Mechanical knowledge
- Basic fabrication skills
- Ability to maintain confidential information
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently, with heavier weight necessary at times.
- Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, and climb to work on equipment.
- Must be able to use tools to perform repairs.
- Must be able to talk, walk, stand, and sit in an office environment.
- Must be able to travel between locations.
