Job Title: Light Industrial Assembler
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Light Industrial Assembler to join our team. You will be responsible for assembling stairs by matching parts to stringers, inserting treads and risers, and ensuring quality control. This role requires manual labor and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Cross-training in various sub-departments will be provided as needed.
Responsibilities
Match the appropriate parts to the stringers.
Assemble stairs by inserting tread and risers into the stringer, clamping the stair, gluing and hammering in wedges, gluing and stapling in the v-block, and nailing/screwing the riser into the back of the tread.
Remove stair from assembly table and move it to the punch out table.
Perform quality control by inspecting for any nail blow-outs, screw blow-outs, and ensuring everything is properly seated and secured.
Cut and install scotia and wrap stairs as needed.
Stage stairs on skids for the loading department.
Perform manual labor relevant to the specific department, such as lifting up to 50 lbs.
Cross-train in various sub-departments as needed.

Prior carpentry experience preferred but not required
Ability to work as a team, as well as be self-managed when working alone

Ability to lift 75 lbs independently

Ability to perform additional tasks as needed

Work Environment
Work hours are Monday-Thursday from 6:00am to 3:30pm, and Friday from 6:00am to 10:00am. Our shop is very clean, and employees are required to clean their area both before and at the end of the day. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHAMBERSBURG, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
