Job Title: Wiring Technician

Job Description

The Wiring Technician will interpret electrical schematics to assemble and/or wire electrical power systems (switchgears and panels). The candidate must have the ability to use various hand tools as it relates to sub-pan and systems assemblies. This is a production facility where the work is repetitive, and you will learn to wire a panel based on a schematic and then repeat this procedure until the production volume is met.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sub panel layouts, drill and tap holes with minimal supervision.

  • Wire sub-pans, door devices, and other power equipment under supervision.

  • Wire using wire way and loom, and wire bundles without the use of loom or wire way (free-bundling).

  • Wire simple relay circuits and perform daisy chaining with common wires in drawings.

  • Perform mechanical assembly on switchgear/switchboard under supervision.

  • Mount all pertinent equipment.

  • Wire sub-pans, door devices, and other pertinent power equipment with minimal supervision according to ISO standards and drawings.

  • Wire and route harnesses neatly with or without the use of wire loom.

  • Accurately and timely perform all wiring duties on sub panels, door devices, and enclosures.

  • Crimp wires and understand the usage of hardware such as screws, bolts, nuts, washers, etc.

  • Use hand tools for extended periods of time.

Essential Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to read blueprints or electrical schematics.

  • Ability to use hand/power tools.

  • Ability to read a tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Electrical assembling experience.

  • Point to Point wiring experience.

  • Ability to read electrical schematics.

  • Experience in crimping wires.

  • Experience from Siemens, Raytheon, former military backgrounds, or HVAC experience is preferred.

Work Environment

The work environment is climate controlled and extremely nice. Contractors will be sitting at a bench wiring panels/switchgears and can wear comfortable clothing. All necessary tools are provided, and each workspace has plenty of space. The shift is a 4-day work week from Monday to Thursday, 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with optional overtime available on Fridays from 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

This is a Contract position based out of ALPHARETTA, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
