Our Client, a Materials Engineering company, is looking for a Safety Engineer – Entry for their Phoenix, AZ location. Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility to monitor and audit 6s compliance in working areas.
Inspection of completed documentation requirements and reporting of deficiencies found. Collecting and maintaining records, such as Pre Task Plans, on assigned areas or tools. Interfacing and communicating with customer to resolve issues that are above their capability.
Participate in incident investigations as they are needed. Capable of maintaining long hours of standing/walking inside customer facility. Maintaining a professional attitude within the team and customer staff. Must have proof of OSHA30 certificate.
Requirements:
OSHA30 or greater certification
Organization and reporting skills
Communication skills (internal and external customers)
80% of time spent on fab floor

Job Tasks
Conduct daily audits or assigned area or tool groups
6s audits to ensure areas are free and clear of hazards in the working areas
Barricading and signage are in place and ledgible
Review completion of all required paperwork
Not necessarily the accuracy of the paperwork
Validate LOTO devices and interlock defeat tags installed and match the PTP document
Correct locks (color) installed in the right locations
LOTO tags are filled out correctly and ledgibly
Interlock defeat tags are installed and match the PTP document
Communicate issues and violations with the Ramp Safety Coordinator that cannot be resolved otherwise
Document and report findings and correction made at the end of shift to the RSC (template to be provided for reporting)
