Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for collecting data, conducting and overseeing inspections, programming CMM or VMM machines, and utilizing quality technology (training provided). You will support the problem-solving process, brainstorm corrective action solutions, contribute to implementations, and follow the direction of the Quality Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Collect data for quality analysis.

• Oversee and conduct inspections.

• Program and operate CMM or VMM machines.

• Utilize quality technology and tools (training provided).

• Assist in the problem-solving process and provide legwork.

• Brainstorm and contribute to corrective action solutions.

• Follow the direction and guidance of the Quality Engineer.

Essential Skills

• Blueprint reading and GD&T expertise is the main portion of experience we are looking for.

• Mechanical aptitude and experience.

• Experience with height stands.

• Root Cause Analysis experience.

• Lean Six Sigma knowledge (Yellow/Green belt preferred).

• PLM experience.

• ISO 9001 knowledge is preferred.

Work Environment

Work 80-90% on the floor during structured hours from 7am-3:15pm. The facility is very clean, updated, and well-lit, having moved to its Eldridge location within the last 15 years. The candidate will frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and work near moving mechanical parts, with the noise level occasionally being loud. The team consists of two quality engineers and two technicians, creating a close-knit, family-like atmosphere.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
