Quality Assurance Specialist

Job Description: As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll ensure our products meet top industry standards. You'll conduct quality checks, perform hydrotesting, and work with managers to resolve material issues. You'll also handle material test reports (MTRs) and perform non-destructive examinations (NDE) like PT, UT, Vac-box, and soap testing.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct quality checks for nozzle fit up, flange fit up, shell layouts, roll bay layout, and cut parts.

• Perform hydrotesting.

• Collaborate with managers to resolve material discrepancies.

• File MTRs with calculations, prints, and traveler for preconstruction review.

• Stamp name plates.

• Perform in-house NDE (PT, UT, Vac-box, and soap testing).

Essential Skills:

• Quality control experience in a metal shop.

• Experience with measuring tools and devices.

• Blueprint reading skills.

• Forklift operating experience.

• Knowledge of industry codes, metal fabrication, and weld inspection.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience or knowledge in a code shop.

• Familiarity with material specifications.

• Flexible work schedule.

• Facility with four buildings on a 6-acre site, with 50,000 square feet of production space.

• Work on large products over 100 feet long and weighing over 60 tons.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
