Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
Contractors will be responsible for assembling metal parts (extendobeds) from our welding shop into the final product and preparing it for shipment. Extendobeds are custom made and used in the back of police and fire vehicles to hold supplies and tools. The assembly process includes drilling, sawing (metal and wood), riveting, using a variety of hand tools, and light metal fabrication. The position will also involve installing decks, drawers, slides, and other accessories into the final product. Candidates must have a strong background in hand tools, power tools, tape measuring, and math. The job requires lifting up to 75 lbs. Ideal candidates will have experience with power tools and hands-on projects.
Responsibilities
Assemble metal parts (extendobeds) into the final product.
Prepare the final product for shipment.
Drill, saw (metal and wood), and rivet parts.
Use a variety of hand tools and perform light metal fabrication.
Install decks, drawers, slides, and other accessories into the final product.
Measure and cut materials accurately using tape measures.
Essential Skills
Experience with hand tools and power tools.
Proficiency in using tape measures and performing basic math.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Background in mechanical assembly and production.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Automotive electrical experience and/or press brake experience is a plus.
Experience in welding, FL, powder coating, and fabrication is highly desirable.

We offer competitive pay increases with starting rates at $19.50/hour, increasing to $20.50/hour after 30 days, and $21.50/hour after 60 days. Employees will be at $21.50/hour upon conversion. Work Environment
The work environment is a welding/fabrication shop where employees must wear composite-toed shoes and safety glasses. The shift is Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, with some overtime. Typically, employees work 45-50 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boise, Idaho.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.50/hr.
