Job Title: Compliance and Safety Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Compliance and Safety Coordinator to develop and implement company-wide compliance programs, including safety, quality, and training initiatives. The ideal candidate will support and lead internal audits and investigations, ensuring compliance with relevant systems and standards.

$27 - $36

7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement company-wide compliance programs (safety, quality, training).

  • Support and lead internal audits and investigations.

  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and training systems.

  • Design and deliver training programs for employees.

  • Maintain ISO 9001 standards and improve quality programs.

  • Oversee safety programs and conduct regular safety audits.

  • Investigate accidents and report to SAIF and OSHA.

  • Coordinate Safety Committee efforts.

  • Handle customer compliance documentation and use online request programs.

  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects.

  • Maintain GMP food safety program to AIB standards.

  • Train employees on food safety and compliance programs.

  • Monitor and schedule training sessions, record activities in the database.

  • Conduct forklift certification training.

  • Ensure pre-hire requirements and new hire training are completed.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years in compliance management in manufacturing/production.

  • Proven success in compliance initiatives.

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.

  • Relevant coursework/training or work experience in compliance.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems.

  • Understanding of GMP food safety requirements (e.g., AIB standards).

  • Ability to create and present training materials.

  • Strong multitasking skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Internal audit certification/experience preferred.

  • Bonus: Forklift trainer certification (required post-employment if not already certified).

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $75000.00/yr.
