Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our precision manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of quality assurance processes, including CMM operation and inspection equipment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, advanced blueprint reading, and the ability to work independently. You will be responsible for ensuring data integrity in quality records and supporting ISO audit processes.
Responsibilities
Responsible for mechanical inspection of machined parts
Manage QMS system software (QT9) data entry and development related to Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA), Internal and supplier Non-Conformance (NCP), Inspection Plans, and Calibration Records to maintain accurate documentation.
Assist in maintaining data integrity of ERP (Epicor) Quality Assurance Module records.
Monitor production processing via random QA audits.
Assist with internal ISO audit related activities.
Provide training and instruction for production operators in QA measuring procedures.
Train quality control inspectors.
Support the ISO audit process by becoming a certified ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor and prepare reports from NCP and CAPA data for external audit processes.
Assist with problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Ensure data integrity related to quality records.
Essential Skills
5-7 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control role in a precision manufacturing environment or equivalent QA certifications.
CMM programming experience or equivalent experience through certifications.
Deep knowledge of quality lab inspection equipment such as optical comparator, micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, bore gages, etc.
Strong ability to work with minimum to no supervision.
Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
Basic shop math skills.
Ability to follow verbal work instructions and adhere to written procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a Machine Shop/Job Shop Environment.
Knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing and Trigonometry.
Experience with 1st piece inspection.
Familiarity with precision measuring tools including Bore Gages, Indicating Micrometers, Indicators, Digital Height Gage, Angle Plates, V-blocks, Sine Plates,
Micrometers, and Caliper
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
