School Traffic Guard PT
Starting Pay: $35 per day
The Town of Webster is seeking friendly safety focused candidates for part-time School Traffic Guards. This position involves the regulation of traffic to permit the safe conduct of school children across streets at intersections and crosswalks in the vicinity of public schools. The work is performed on a part-time basis, during morning and afternoon hours when children are going to and coming from school.
Hours: 7:25 AM - 8:00 AM and 1:40 PM - 2:10 PM
Typical Duties: (All need not be performed in a given position. Other related activities may be performed although not listed.) Directs and routes vehicle traffic; Conducts school children safely across street; Reports any violations of traffic laws and regulations to local police;
Preferred Qualifications: Webster residency Experience working with children Experience directing traffic
Minimum Qualifications: Must be available for assigned shift, including early mornings and afternoons. Ability to stand for extended periods of time outside, including during inclement weather.
Background Checking: Applicants will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug testing.
