Job Description

Ensures the operation of machinery and electrical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on production machines. Follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications while troubleshooting malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Repair, construct, install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and equipment

• Cut, thread, bend, couple, and strap conduit

• Cut wire and conduit to length. Install, repair, or replace switch boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords

• Disassemble motors, generator, and other equipment in preparation for repair

• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, inspect circuits and wiring for shielding and grounding, and test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install electronic and PLCs, circuitry, and PC boards into plant machinery

• Use blueprints, drawings, layout, or other specifications and electrical hand tools and voltage/amperage measuring and recording devices

• Requires interpretation of wiring diagrams or schematic drawings

• May develop wiring diagrams

• May include maintenance of electronic or solid state controls have interlocking or independent circuits

• Has working knowledge of the National Electric Code

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
