Oferta de trabajo: Project Engineer

Blue Mountain Energy, which operates the Deserado Mine, an underground coal mine near Rangely, Colorado, is accepting applications for the Project Engineer position. Blue Mountain Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of Deseret Power. This position reports to the Chief Engineer.

The successful candidate's primary responsibilities are to provide engineering support and services at all levels at the Deserado Mine, assist in production planning and coordination meetings, direct all engineering designs and activities of the mine, and forecast and develop short and long-term mine plans and budgets.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide engineering design, support, drafting, and project management for surface and underground projects.
• Assist in mine design and forecasting.
• Provide professional engineering services for the mine and regulatory agencies.
• Assist and provide planning for production-related activities, including, but not limited to, longwall moves, section production, planning, and underground construction.
• Prepare plans and submit them to regulatory agencies, i.e., MSHA, CMLR, BLM, Colorado Department of Health.
• Act as radiation safety officer for the mine site.
• Contact various mine supply vendors and coordinate service and sales visits.
• Stay up to date on new products and services.
• Assist with inspections from associated regulatory agencies such as MSHA, CMLR, BLM, and Colorado Department of Health.
• Plan, design, and manage special projects, such as flotation and bypass additions.
• Prepare equipment specifications for the mine.
• Order supplies and parts for the mine on a limited basis.
• Assist with surveys, both surface and underground.

We seek a seasoned and accomplished professional with a bachelor's degree in mining, civil, or geotechnical engineering. Qualified applicants must have at least five (5) years of experience in a mining environment. Surveying experience and a Professional Engineer License are preferred.
