Our client, a world-leading medical device company focused on improving lives through innovative, consumer-centered solutions is seeking an Assembler.
Location: Niagara County, NY
Schedule: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Pay: $17/hr
Terms: Contract to Hire
Responsibilities:
Pouching: Assemble an ID card into a pouch with a plastic plunger.
Tying: Use a manual fixture to tie a thread onto an automated component.
Assembly: Combine the tied component with the pouched sub-assembly and additional required plastic components.
Sealing: Seal the assembled components in preparation for sterilization and final packaging.
Final Packaging: Package the finished units with the required printed literature, ready for shipment.
Demonstration Units: Assemble non-sterile demonstration units for training purposes only
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience:
Small hand assembly experience on an assembly line in a cGMP environment.
Experience inspecting components and finished products.
Skills/Knowledge:
Knowledge of factory assembly procedures.
Proficiency with hand tools.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Good hand/eye coordination.
Ability to read and understand written procedures in English.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
Performs medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
May be required to stand or sit for prolonged periods while performing tasks.
