The Financial Analyst will support the Plant Controller and plant management for Saint-Gobain Life Sciences\' manufacturing locations, in Portage, WI & Poestenkill, NY, by performing analysis of cost, production, and inventory for World Class Manufacturing (WCM) and supports site controller with month end close and budget process activities. Will provide cost analysis, standard cost establishment, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Will account for all aspects of cost accounting including variance analysis and month-end closing. Will provide staff and divisional management, accurate and timely information that will assist them in monitoring performance in order to reach company established goals and objectives. Will complete specially assigned projects by the Site Controller/Staff as required. Essential Functions Provide cost analysis, standard cost establishment, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis & support to site management. Month end closing and budget process. Ensure prompt month-end closing, issue management reports. Provide non-routine accounting information to site controller, BU controller & other financial groups. Financial World Class Manufacturing Analysis support, financial reporting, and management presentations which entails support of all accounting functions including budgeting, forecasting, capital appropriations, fixed asset management, Six Sigma cost deployment, internal audits, facilitating external audit requests, and maintaining company required internal controls, all in compliance with Saint-Gobain Corporation policies and adhering to the SGC Accounting Policy and Internal Controls Manuals.
