As Radiology Technologist, you will complete diagnostic radiographic procedures using the latest and state-of-the-art equipment. Using your knowledge of clinical procedures, technologies and policies, you will collaborate with fellow Rad Techs, Radiologists, RNs, and other healthcare staff to achieve goals and enhance patient care. You also have the opportunity to explore different modalities, develop new skills and advance to other positions.

A caregiver in this position works weekend days from 7:30AM - 4:00PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.

• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.

• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.

• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.

• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.

• Maintain documentation.

• Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.

• Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

• Registered Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in good standing

• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements:

• Standing and walking for extended periods of time

• Lifting or assisting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily

• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
