Position Description
The Department of Marketing, Analytics, and Professional Sales (MAPS) in the School of Business Administration at The University of Mississippi invites applications for instructional faculty positions in Marketing, Analytics, or Information Systems at our main campus in Oxford, Mississippi. The rank available for the positions is at the Instructor or Instructional Assistant Professor level, depending on the qualifications and experience of the applicant. These positions are full-time, non tenure-track positions with the School of Business Administration.

Examples of Work Performed
Duties: To teach undergraduate courses in areas that fit with department needs beginning Fall, 2025. Those areas include marketing, professional sales, digital marketing, supply chain management, analytics, and information systems. Successful applicants will be responsible for teaching at the undergraduate level, providing service to the Department, being engaged with students and student associations, providing service to the University and Profession, and conducting research aimed toward quality disciplinary peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences. The normal teaching load for an instructional faculty member is 4/3 (12/9 credit hours per semester, Fall/Spring or Spring/Fall) with the possibility to teach intersession, summer courses, and/or online courses for additional pay subject to course and funding availability. All new hires are expected to deliver instruction in multiple modes with at least half of the teaching being delivered online.
Particularly interested in candidates experienced in teaching in the areas of need. Candidates with a proven track record of effective instruction in those areas will be especially considered. Professional experience in the instructional areas is also desired.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Qualifications: The applicant must have an earned doctorate in a field relevant to their teaching discipline granted by an AACSB-accredited business program or a master's degree and relevant business experience in the teaching areas. Applicants should possess strong evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching, service, and scholarship. Excellent oral communication skills are essential in this position. Candidates should show evidence of meeting the SOBA undergraduate AACSB standard for Scholarly Academics (SA) (at least two peer-reviewed journal publications in a rolling five-year period) or as some professionally engaged in a relevant capacity.
