Description
OVERVIEW
Cadrex is searching for an HLA Assembler I who is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing complex mechanical and electronic components to create high-level assemblies (HLAs) in a manufacturing environment. This entry-level role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions. The assembler works closely with engineers, quality teams, and production personnel to ensure finished products meet all specifications and performance requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform hands-on assembly of high-level mechanical and electronic components
Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and schematics to ensure proper assembly
Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment to complete tasks
Conduct visual and functional inspections of assemblies to verify quality standards
Identify and report any defects, deviations, or issues to the supervisor or quality team
Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and traceability of assembled products
Perform basic functional tests on assembled products to confirm performance
Assist in troubleshooting and rework activities as needed
Work with technicians and engineers to resolve assembly-related issues
Follow all workplace safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Follow company policies, industry standards, and regulatory compliance guidelines
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Participate in process improvement initiatives and training programs
Suggest ways to improve assembly efficiency and product quality
Support lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S and waste reduction efforts
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in assembly, manufacturing, or electronics is preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings
Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Team player with effective communication skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

Salary Description
$16.50 - $18.50 per hour
