The journey-level reinforcement ironworker (or rod
buster) lays out rebar; performs the standard rebar ties;
knows the basics of rebar support; can identify rebar
sizes and grades, and is able to read and interpret cut
sheets, bar lists, tags, and drawings. The rebar worker
also understands and performs basic rigging and
concrete placement, and adheres to safe working
practices at all times.
