Real estate agency activities for compensation. Fees: Examination: $60; License: $245 with evidence of completion of three college level courses in specified areas. Fingerprint processing: $49 Examination Frequency: Daily. Exam Locations: Sacramento, Fresno, Oakland, Los Angeles, San Diego. Experience Requirement: Three semester units (college level) in real estate principles, real estate practice, and one additional specified real estate course prior to taking the examination. Average Time to Process Application: 4 weeks. Renewal Period: 4 years. Special License Requirements: Fingerprints and proof of legal presence. Comments: Licensee must meet continuing education requirement of 45 clock hours of specified courses prior to renewal of license. Real estate salespersons who perform residential mortgage loan origination activities are required to obtain an Mortgage Loan Originator license endorsement to their real estate license.
