Landscape architects and any person who uses the title or does the work of a landscape architect as defined in Business and Professions Code, Division 3, Chapter 3.5. Fees: National Examination (Landscape Architects Registration Examination) - administered by The Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB): Inventory, Analysis, and Project Management $ 525.00 Planning and Design $ 525.00 Construction Documentation and Administration $ 525.00 Grading, Drainage, and Stormwater Management $ 525.00 *Final fees established as part of the annual CLARB budget process. Fees are subject to change. Eligibility Application Evaluation Fee: $100.00 Local Examination (California Supplemental Examination): $350.00 CSE Application Evaluation Fee: $100.00 Initial License: $700.00 Renewal: $700.00 Examination Frequency: National Examination - three (3) times a year, Local Examination - continuous Examination Locations: Multiple Experience Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age or have graduated from high school in order to receive training/experience credit; have six years of qualifying education and/or work experience. Multiple years of credit are granted for a masters/bachelors degree, or approved extension certificate in landscape architecture OR an architecture degree from a NAAB-accredited program; two-year degree in landscape architecture accepted for one year; any four-year degree accepted for one year. Work experience may be done under a licensed landscape architect, architect/registered civil engineer, or licensed landscape contractor and may be combined with education or used to satisfy all six years (credit limits vary by profession). Average Time to Process Application: Target application processing time is 30 days. Renewal Period: Biennially (every second year). Special License Requirements: N/A Comments: The Board of Landscape Architects was sunsetted effective July 1,1997, after which the Technical Committee was established under the purview of the California Architects Board.
