All unlicensed complementary and alternative health care providers (CAP) must comply with <a href="https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/146a" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">Minn. Stat. Chapter 146A</a>. These practitioners provide healing methods and treatments that are not usually provided in a traditional medical setting. Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) <div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 9pt;" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <div>Unlicensed Complementary and Alternative Health Care Practice (CAP) means the broad domain of complementary and alternative healing methods and treatments, including but not limited to:  </div> <div> </div> <div>�  acupressure  </div> <div>�  anthroposophy  </div> <div>�  aroma therapy  </div> <div>�  ayurveda  </div> <div>�  body work, massage, and massage therapy  </div> <div>�  cranial sacral therapy  </div> <div>�  culturally traditional healing practices  </div> <div>�  detoxification practices and therapies  </div> <div>�  energetic healing  </div> <div>�  folk practices  </div> <div>� Gerson therapy and colostrum therapy  </div> <div>�  healing practices utilizing food, food supplements, nutrients, and the physical forces of heat, cold, water, touch and light  </div> <div>�  healing touch  </div> <div>�  herbology or herbalism  </div> <div>�  homeopathy </div> <div>�  meditation  </div> <div>�  mind-body healing practices  </div> <div>�  naturopathy  </div> <div>�  nondiagnostic iridology  </div> <div>�  noninvasive instrumentalities  </div> <div>�  polarity therapy  </div> <div>�  traditional Asian practices, such as Qi Gong energy healing <br /> <br /></div> <div>The last section of the law requires each practitioner to provide each client with a client bill of rights prior to service (<a href="https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/cite/146A.11">Minn. Stat. § 146A.11</a>). A client bill of rights must also be posted in a prominent location in the office. The purpose of the client bill of rights is to give all clients access to relevant information about the complementary and/or alternative service they will receive, and information about how to file a complaint if they are dissatisfied. There is specific statutory language which must be copied identically from the statute. This language is in quotations.
