Applicants for licensure as funeral directors must: 1) Be at least 18 years old and provide evidence of good moral character. 2) Pass 2 State Board examinations (one for funeral director and one on the applicable Nevada laws). 3) Complete one year as a Funeral Arranger. Note: If an applicant for licensure has already passed the National Board examination given by the Conference of Funeral Services Examining Boards of the United States, it is only necessary to take the Nevada laws test. Fees may be subject to change. Fees are: initial license/application--$375; examination--$375 per exam; license renewal--$200 every two years.
